Patent “A”‐Ad‐Sponsored Downloads

Patent “A” BandTones has a nonexclusive license for the use of Patent “A” – Embedding advertisements into downloadable files e.g., MP3, etc. (currently undergoing examination by the U.S. Patent Office (USPTO) and could issue within the next six months to two years): Major Impact and Salvation of Music Industry – curtail download piracy with ad sponsored downloads. “More than 40 billion music downloads were illegally file-shared in 2008, translating to a piracy rate of around 95%, according to a new report issued by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry trade body. The digital music business increased an estimated 25 percent in 2008 to $3.7 billion, its sixth consecutive year of growth. The IFPI notes online and mobile platforms now generate roughly 20% of recorded music sales, up from 15% in 2007. Single-track downloads increased 24% in 2008 to 1.4 billion units globally and remain at the forefront of the digital market, although full length albums are also on the upswing growing 36% last year ”While BandTones Technologies, LLC could realize some benefit from Patent “A” it only holds a nonexclusive license to Patent A's patent and does not own any portion of Patent “A” Other Pending Patents BandTones Technologies, LLC and affiliates are pursuing twelve (12) patent applications on technology relating to commercialization of Internet content and telephony services as follows:

1. “PodLinez” – phone casting podcasts with auto-issued phone numbers
2. “PhoneCasting” i.e., making audible Internet feeds accessible via telephone
3. “Phonecasting On-hold” i.e., PhoneCasting to telephone callers who are onhold
4. “Phonecasting Referral Methods” – phonecast forwarding with inserted message
5. “Over-the-phone purchase facilitation” – One Key To Purchase
6. “Ad-Sponsored Long-Distance Calls”
7. “Streaming Delivery of Personal Personalized Content”
8. “Call and Text-Back”
9. “Text to Voice Phonecasting Widget”
10. Patent “A” – Ad-spon0red downloadable MP3 files
11. Patent “B” – “Commentator Rewards platform for members posting comments in multimedia blogs, threads, and social media services”
12. Patent “C” – Allows anyone to call and post audio to Twitter, Facebook, etc.

BandTones Technologies, LLC only holds nonexclusive licenses to Patent “A”, Patent “B”, and Patent “C” patents and does not own any portion of these patents.
